So I wake up super early, phone vibrating with text messages from last night and Fairly Odd Parents blaring from my T.V. Typical morning I guess. It's apparent that I'm not going back to sleep anytime soon so why not write an article for SMH?! When scanning the comment section of Perez's last post, I stumbled upon one motherless child with a mighty long stick up their ass. The racist comment has since been deleted (as I figured it would) but not before I got the chance to screen print it!!
Ahhhh that awkward moment of the argument when some racist little Anon in need of an insult pulls the "N-bomb" out of nowhere. Can't say I didn't see that one looming on the horizon but the sting of such words is a little less painful coming from someone who's obviously ashamed of themselves enough to disguise their identity. The funniest part about it is when you see that in the 21st century people still have too much ignorance to realize that they still own computers in Africa. Moving to Timbuktu won't stop me from blogging hunni! At this point, a public bashing of an Anon would be meaningless but that comment did get me thinking. What is Stardoll coming to?? What kind of "children's site" is this if there's people like that running around it?!?
It seems like every day that I click that Internet Explorer icon I stumble across that one person, that one person with the intelligence level of a brick wall. What is it about Stardoll that brings out the inner demons in people?? What fuels that jealousy that leads a person to use such words?? I'm all for a decent argument any day, most of you know that by now, but the significance of an online debate goes downhill when you make yourself look like a racist jackass, regardless of whether you hide behind the veil of anonymity or not. I could go on and on about real people (not Anons) that have even jokingly used such words on Stardoll.
Stardoll is the biggest lie of all time. For almost 5 years now they've been fooling parents and kids around the world into thinking this is just another children's site. Wake up hunni, it's not. There have been so many times when I've had hour long conversations on chat with someone, yet had no clue who they really were. There have been several times when I'll be more than willing to join a public party. It's not until that extreme noob in the corner starts hitting on you that you realize you've accidentally joined a "$ex Party!!" without reading the name. There have been times when boredom will lead me to accept that Suite Play request only to have some little girl start taking my medoll's clothes off and saying she wants to "see me naked". There have been countless times when I've received guestbook messages from "guys" that my parents would have been infuriated to see (if they had read them). The disturbing part is when you realize that there's really a girl behind that male account! A pretty face, some makeup, accessories and a starpoint hairstyle doesn't change people. Their true colors show when you give them the option to hide behind a username.
I could go on long rants about Internet safety but that would be virtually ineffective these days. Regardless of how many times you warn someone of one stupid thing, if they're lacking common sense, they're obviously gonna do five more stupid things to replace it before they learn their lesson. Where's the line and when have you crossed it?? It's just sad to know there's little girls and boys around the world in real life that put on the persona of an innocent little angel, but online they're sex-crazed, racist wierdos slinging around N-bombs out of jealousy like it's just another word. Yes, it annoys me. At times some people may shrug it off, life goes on. But does that make it okay??
Point being, Stardoll is full of crap and thats obvious. But this is the 21st century, so the least I can expect of you is a more intelligent insult, even coming from an Anon. Anonymity itself is unnecessary in my opinion since it's somewhat of an open invitation for people to act and talk like ignorant fools, but that's another topic for another day. I don't care who or what you're talking about, the N-word is pathetic and disgusting. I don't care how mad you are. Grow up and stop saying shit like that!
