Stardoll Halloween Costume Ideas

Need a costume for a hot Halloween party, Stardoll or real life? Here are some fantastic ideas I got today at school/from friends and my imagination. Also to increase/invite people to comment, I'll be starting a comment type game, where you answer the question in the comment section. I will choose the best comment on a random post to receive a prize, so stay active! Here are the costumes/inspirations:
- Rocky Horror Picture Show Characters (Frank-N-Furter, Janet, Columbia, Riff-Raff)
- Glee Characters (Rachel Berry, Kurt Hummel)
- Gossip Girl Characters (Blair Waldorf, Jenny Humphrey)
For a more adventurous/grotesque costume, you could design a drawn out costume with the characters above, but with a twist of horror (eg. vampirism, zombie, murdered, etc). Here are some easy horror costumes, that aren't a specific character. Some of these are mostly just inspiration for costumes.

Lipstick Magazine Released

Hey all! I know this is probably already out there, but I thought I'd review it. It's a late post sorry!

Lipstick Magazine was released earlier this month with the ever so beautiful Mary (lacestockings). I love the cover, and think the color choices were fantastic. The logo is visible, but not too out there, which is good. On the cover, Mary is wearing a classy purple/wine Chanel necktie, DKNY blouse, and a turquoise Hermes handbag. Her face is flawless, and the makeup is beautiful.
The articles are also greatly constructed, complete with articles on real issues, such as bullying, how to make an outfit, and other interesting articles.
Overall, I would rate this issue of Lipstick an 8. It's beautiful, and amazing, but there could be some simple improvements made.

Lindsay Lohan has re-appointed to the rehabilitation of January, no prison

Well, I started writing this before I knew what was going on with Lindsay Lohan in court today. No cameras allowed in the room, unfortunately. Lindsay came with her mother and her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, to listen to 25 minutes before 8:30 pm in Moscow.



I saw pictures of their arrival ... have been and what I can say that Lindsay left the Betty Ford clinic, and her mother waiting for a syringe full of collagen in the car, because her lips cracked-out Lindsay back. This is ridiculous. Well, I'll share my immediate reaction, such as news (whatever that may be):



Oh, wait, and we, Michael Lohan says that something or someone was stabbed.




Good! Lindsay returns to the third rehabilitation January! This does not remain in jail while the judge impressed by their progress in rehabilitating and said it needed more. All this is according to TMZ - Lindsay probably end up spending three months in rehabilitation. Also, would scram, but still test drugs and alcohol until January.



Apparently, Lindsay cried a little, and thanked the judge and the judge said he would send them back to rehab because they wanted a train accident in his backyard. I can not believe Lindsay special treatment once again. It makes me sick. DA wants to get up to 180 days in jail - and that's what Lindsay had to. You can choose to deal with his petulant that it did not matter all that seriously. I'll be using it after updating the game!

It Gets Better!

Hey everyone! I'm sure most of you have heard of the recent gay teen suicides, and seen the "It Gets Better" anti-bullying campaign of videos featuring everyone from Kim Kardashian to President Obama. The tragedies have really inspired a strong reaction out of people, notably my namesake and blog inspiration, Perez Hilton. He uploaded a video in which he said that after posting about the tragedies and condemning bullying on his blog, a lot of his readers accused him of being a hypocrite, as he himself is seen as one of the biggest bullies in Hollywood. He really took this to heart, and responded by taking an honest look at himself and genuinely pledging to hold himself to a higher standard and not be part of the problem:


Even I had stopped going to his website, after a while I just grew tired of the constant negativity. But after watching that video I decided to support him again, and there has been a significant change in the tone of his blog. He still pokes fun at celebrities, but is no longer mean-spirited and cruel. It's been really inspiring to witness, and it got me to thinking about this blog and my behavior. I always thought that this blog was harmless and all in good fun, but did anyone ever see me as cruel and mean-spirited? Did I sometimes go too far? What are your thoughts on the gay teen suicides, and bullying in general? I'd love to discuss this with you guys so please leave a comment below!

Vanessa back on top??

It's nice to see Star_Awards back in the Stardoll scene.

So far her come back has gotten off into a good start, her magazine Eccentric was amazing! She's bringing back the Star Awards on a high note. And now, she just recently opened up a new blog called Doll Exposed. The blog is about her views on her time on Stardoll, but overall about Stardoll fashion. It's actually not that bad, it somewhat reminds me of Tyler's Top Trends. Speaking of fashion blogs, whatever happened to Manolo.DiCicco's Beyond Beauty blog??

The Right Shade Of LIPSTICK

Eternity has taken it's place with the likes of Style as one of the most popular and fabulous magazines ever. Sadly, it missed it's long awaited September release, and the previous issue just didn't thrill us. Until Eternity is released, I've got my eyes on a new star magazine, Lipstick Magazine.
You may remember Lipstick as one of Lolita's abandoned projects, but it was soon picked up by Lizs, a blogger and graphic designer. If you're looking for a magazine that has great graphics and great articles, look no further.

Lolita Leaves SD...again

Miss_LolitaF is saying bye-bye to Stardoll for a second time. She only left the statement above on her blog.

This time she actually DELETED her account. I'm guessing she'll probably won't be coming back one day later like last time. So, is this the real deal or just another attention ploy of hers??

Nevermind, she's back!! I guess she just wanted to break her record from last time. LMFAO!!!

She says she 'is' leaving, (but yet she activated her account??).
Here is her new statement:
"Sometimes we need to move on and that is what I am doing now. Stardoll ain't that much worthy so I dedicate to it a lot of time, I am not going to spend anymore my time, my positive thoughts, my money, my everything for Stardoll."

Comeback Fever!!

The comeback tread is in full swing this season!! First Style_Magazine, Star_Awards, Noelle_Page, and now it looks like former Stardoll socialite, Isabella.Arci is also back too!!

The fashionista was guestbook chatting with her SD bestie Noelle about making her big return to Stardoll for good!

MSW Finalists!!

Stardoll has just revealed the finalist for Miss Stardoll World competition. Each country was narrowed down to a select few of finalists. These finalist then will be voted among their country public and the one with the most votes will represent their country.

Let's Scare The Shit Out Of Kids!

...or at least that must be what Stardoll is trying to do! In the online book series, Mortal Kiss, we explore the world of Winter Mill. (Note that the story is aimed for 11+ year olds) The plot is essentially all about werewolf attacks (or at least that's what I'm guessing). So, it's risky enough bringing a story about death into the minds of children, but once you start drawing dead bodies, you know you've gone too far.
In the story, you can actually visit different scenes from the story, including a place called 'The Mill'. Inside The Mill, you see a man sitting in a chair, tied up, with blood (or chocolate syrup...) dripping down the side of his mouth. And oh does it get better! You can also visit a place called 'The Morrow Mansion'. In the mansion, there is a mirror when, if you click it, shows a gruesome image of a hand falling against the mirror (as if from the other side) and slowly sliding down. Creepy! And also, if you see blood in the snow, there is a secret message for you to read.
I just don't understand this, and they should at least make it PG13, even though that won't stop anyone.
The point of this was to a. post something, and b. point out Stardoll's evilness (its a joke). To me, this sounds like a gruesome version of Twilight...but I could be wrong considering I don't read the series!

It get's better

I'm an avid reader of the real life Perez Hilton, and recently I discovered numerous posts about him discussing how there have been a rise in gay teens committing suicide in the states just in the past month. As a openly gay female, it saddens me to read such news.

Suicide is NEVER the answer. I've been fortunate enough to have a supportive family to guide me through the tough time in which I was picked on and ridiculed for being gay. For those who don't have that support, I can't image want your going through. It must be hard feeling like your alone, to the point you think suicide may be the best way out. But your NOT alone, there are so many resources out today that you can reach out to. One of them being The Trevor Project. I highly recommend you check out the site.

We must stand together and support each other.

SFW: Day 7

Unfortunately, it's the last day of SFW. Day 7 started off slow, with a disappointing announcement that Eternity Magazine was NOT releasing it's issue today, but things slowly picked up when a surprise release of Lipstick Magazine debuted. Then a hour later the awards were distributed. Although there were bad moments, everything turned out better than expected.

SFW: Day 6

vaniTEEN Magazine made it's huge debut and it DIDN'T disappoint!! To be honest, I think it was the best magazine of the whole week!!!

Flawless was flawless, but unfortunately due to 'computer problems' only 4 dresses were shown. Overall, very nice small collection!

September 2010

Recherche Magazine latest issue was not my favorite. It was a short issue and it just felt like I've seen it before. It wasn't anything really new. And seeing Nojarama in a suit was very disturbing, I'm so used to seeing him in dresses!!

Ribbon

The three piece Ribbon collection was last minute set-up, which diffidently showed. The dresses weren't very original.

Ostentatious

And the surprised element was Ostentatious, a collection my the one and only Hunnigall!!! The collection was amazing, clearly the BEST of the whole week!!

Here is Alice thought behind Ostentatious:
"For this collection I was inspired by the magic of Asia. After watching the movie Tekken (perhaps not a literal connection to asian culture, but nonetheless inspiring) I was caught by the elements of girl power. See, Tekken tells a story of a fighter, they fight for a living in times of desperation; women included, and it was this power they exuded that made me think: so what if they wear skimpy clothing? I can reinvent that; perhaps not in a sensible manner for sport, but I can sill use those elements of power and strength to create an outfit that tells a story. Particularly the shoes express how impressive and fearful a strong woman is; but also how feminine and mysterious they are. My vision was to mould my own interpretations of strength into something beautiful; and this is what was formed. Ostentatious."
